Where to see celebrities in the wild- I

brangelina

Yup, I took this picture of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the 2014 Oscar Red Carpet. (explainabrag)

The Season of Celebrity is upon us. The next few weeks will bring award show after award show, final press junkets, television shows wondering who people will be wearing. This also means that many celebrities are actually in L.A. taking breaks from filming.  If you are looking to see celebrities I offer the following, for your consideration.

Discover L.A. a wonderful resource for all things Los Angeles, and a co-sponsor of DineLA which I mentioned earlier. Discover L.A. is one of the best travel sites for visitors to and residents of Los Angeles. They offer a list of suggested places to see celebrities here

I offer these locations to supplement this list:

Larchmont

Larchmont doesn’t seem like it fits in Los Angeles, this low-key area with its main street and Sunday farmer’s market seems more like it belongs in the mid-west or the east coast. It proximity to Paramount Studios and the rich area of Hancock Park make it the perfect place to see “people” on their way to work or home.

This area has exploded in the past few years since I moved out of this neighborhood. (As has been true of other neighborhoods I have left.) This area now has its Babycakes, gourmet ice creams and go get ‘em tigers. Larchmont is now a perfect place to hang and eat brunch at Larchmont Bungalow and “people” watch. The farmer’s market also is a draw for the area residents which include Muhammad Ali, the current mayor, and a long list of others.  Also, I happen to think that Larchmont Wine and Cheese happens to have the best sandwiches in Los Angeles, in my humble opinion.

Celebrities seen: Jeremy Piven, Tony Schaloub, Brooke Adams, Victor Garber, Dave Navarro, James Spader, Jeremy Remar.

Getting there: Busses 14 and with a little more walking the 10, 16, and 316

NEXT UP: THIS POST IS TOO LONG, SO MORE PLACES TO SEE CELEBRITIES
