A Preview of Things to Come

I mentioned in an earlier post that I took my grandmother as my date to the Oscar 2014 bleachers. When I won, it was a no brainer who I would take. She like many had the teenage daydream of being a movie star. Everything I learned about Old Hollywood I learned from her. When I snooped around the high school that was once the Ambassador Hotel and found the original doors to the Cocoanut Grove, she was the first person I called.

I really wanted to make this maybe once in a lifetime trip a special one. This involved a lot of research. Itineraries of Old Hollywood can fill up days, weeks, and months. I am currently working with a friend, whom I consider to be an expert, on some Old Hollywood itineraries for different parts of the city. I hope to get these up in the next month or two.

For now what follows will selected itineraries that I crafted for the five day visit during Oscar weekend 2014.
